Fr. Matthew Cashmore

Matthew is Priest in Charge of the Parish of St Anselm, Hayes, in west London. Following a high-profile career in digital publishing and media he was ordained deacon in 2018 in front of television cameras as part of a BBC documentary charting his first year in Holy Orders.

He has ridden across Europe, North Africa, and Russia on various motorbikes and scooters and continues to have two wheeled adventures as a member of the 59 Club founded by Fr Bill Shergold.

He is passionate about the lived reality of faith in Jesus Christ. About St. Anselm’s being deeply rooted in Scripture and Sacrament, in the Parish, and in the proclamation of Christ to others.

Fr. Matthew studied for his BA in Theology, Mission & Ministry from Durham University at Ripon College, Cuddesdon in Oxford. He is an elected member of the Diocese of London Synod and of the Bishop’s Council.
